In the perspective of the ongoing European integration, the ChristianUnion is convinced that closer relations between Christian-democratic parties are both desirable and useful. The exchange of information, knowledge and know-how between these networks can have a positive impact on Christian political cooperation in general.

Therefore we co founded in 2005 the European Christian Political Movement (ECPM). The ECPM is a political association of parties and organizations which are active at all different political levels in Europe. The ECPM is not officially affiliated to one of the groups in the European Parliament. The ECPM aims to reflect and work on Christian-democrat politics in Europe from an explicit Christiansocial view. The focus is at the human being in its relationship to God, other people and the creation. The ECPM sees this relational thinking as the heart of Christian-democracy.
